OVP provides business funds to Bacolod groups

The Office of the Vice President disclosed that it has given livelihood grants to four organizations that qualified for the Mag Negosyo Ta ‘Day Program of Vice President Sara Duterte.

The groups — Adiangawan Small Farmers Association, Concerned Crop and Livestock Producers’ Association, Kabalaka People’s Livelihood Vendors Association, and Manayaosayao Farmworkers Association — were each given P150,000.
The MTD is an entrepreneurial program of the OVP. It hopes to help sectoral organizations start livelihood projects by providing grants and basic financial management knowledge and it has already granted four other sectoral groups the financial and technical requirements they need to jumpstart their livelihood projects. In her speech, the Vice President underscored the importance of peace and education, which had been her advocacy, saying that the public must always be vigilant of forces that are a threat to peace and order.
The Vice President also visited inmates at Metro Bacolod City Jail, distributing over a thousand food packs. Simultaneously, the inmates at the Bago City Jail also received gift packs from the OVP Bacolod Satellite Office.
Duterte joined the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Department of Labor and Employment in the distribution of Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation, Sustainable Livelihood Program, Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers to residents, including senior citizens.
