This Way Out

Make yourself a Papa Doble.

Esquire (Philippines) - - THIS WAY IN -

At a bar called El Floridita in Havana, a bronze statue of Ernest Hemingway can be found by the corner he used to frequent. His usual drink was the Papa Doble: two shots of rum and lots of zest. Like much of his writing, it slaps you in the face but tastes like a dream.

PAPA DOBLE

2 oz white rum ½ oz fresh lime juice 1 tsp fresh grapefruit juice 1 tsp Maraschino liqueur

Shake well with ice and pour onto a glass. Garnish with lime peel.
