Esquire (Philippines) - - NOTES & ESSAYS -

Father’s Day came around again last June and to celebrate, Esquire Philippines joined up with The Peninsula Manila for an afternoon of good drinks and smooth music at Salon de Ning.

Dads and their families came through and were treated to their pick of an array of services on offer: a haircut, shoe shine, or a spa treatment; plus an open bar and beats by Ornusa Cadness. On display were a bunch of your dad’s favorite things: custom timepieces by Undone Watches, Indian motorcycles, and shoes by Sapatero. Behind the bar, we had fine Teeling whiskeys—single grain and small batch—poured by our friends from The Curator, all knocked back in good company. Among the guests in attendance were Globe Telecom President and CEO Ernest Cu, The Peninsula Manila General Manager Mark Choon, photographer Francisco Guerrero, Jason

Magbanua, Kim Atienza, and RJ Ledesma. Guests kicked it at the Globe Platinum lounge, too, where we all got to enjoy the afternoon with our families. All in all, it was an excellent way to celebrate a truly special day that we must always take to celebrate the most important men in our lives: our dads.
