Asian Food Chan­nel's and one of Aus­tralia's leading celebrity chefs cum grill ex­pert Sean Con­nolly shared his gas­tro­nomic ex­per­tise with guests dur­ing a re­cent visit to the Philip­pines. A de­lec­ta­ble din­ner held at Edsa Shangri-La's Palawan room show­cased his skill at the grill, with a cook­ing demo for that evening's en­tree of Grilled Rib Eye Fil­let with Miso Hol­landaise, Fon­dant Potato and Wa­ter Cress. Chef Sean ex­plained his phi­los­o­phy to al­ways buy the best pos­si­ble meat, which was ev­i­dent in the per­fectly ren­dered por­tions we dined on. Glen­fid­dich Sin­gle Malt Scotch Whisky smoothly bal­anced that din­ner with a ver­ti­cal tast­ing of dis­tinc­tive vin­tages. The Sol­era 15 year old whisky pro­vided depth and con­sis­tency that paired well with the meat and made for a unique food and bev­er­age op­tion.
