ASUS, the world­wide top-three con­sumer note­book ven­dor, in its aim to pro­vide a greater em­pha­sis on PC gam­ing, founded the repub­lic of Gamers (rog) in 2006. Since then, the rog has been ded­i­cated on bring­ing in­no­va­tive hard­core hard­ware to truly ded­i­cated gamers.

ASUS Philip­pines in part­ner­ship with PC ex­press held the #Strix­un­leashed event an­nounc­ing the new­est ad­di­tions to the rog Strix fam­ily, ex­cit­ing ac­tiv­i­ties and prod­ucts were on sale at the Sm North EDSA Sky­dome.

The com­pany an­nounced two new gam­ing note­books in the ROG Strix fam­ily that will fit the bill: the 15.6-inch GL503VD and 17.3-inch GL703VD. Fo­cus­ing on bal­anced price and per­for­mance with ex­tra en­hance­ments for gam­ing, both ship with a desk­top-class In­tel Core i7 CPU and an NVIDIA Ge­force GTX 1050 GPU as stan­dard equip­ment. They in­clude an up­graded key­board laced with rgb light­ing, and they’re packed into portable chas­sis that is just as com­fort­able on the road as they are at home or in school. The prices were also an­nounced by Ge­orge Su, Coun­try man­ager of ASUS Philip­pines as you can see on the photo above.

Con­sumers en­joyed an up to 70% off sale on the wide vari­a­tions of ASUS note­books, tablets, mon­i­tors, and ASUS rog gam­ing lap­tops. The ASUS vr-ready dis­crete graph­ics Ge­force GTX 10 Se­ries GPU gave the par­tic­i­pants a free im­mer­sive vir­tual re­al­ity ex­pe­ri­ence on­site. Those who tried the ASUS vr also had the chance to get a dig­i­tal copy of their game via phone stor­age trans­fer or a flash drive.

A Tekken 7 Grand Tour­na­ment was also held during the event. vis­i­tors who reg­is­tered on­line and on­site, and the me­dia were in­vited to join the tour­na­ment. Us­ing the ASUS repub­lic of Gamers lap­tops, mon­i­tors, and ac­ces­sories, the Tekken 7 grand tour­na­ment gave the par­tic­i­pants an en­gag­ing gam­ing ex­pe­ri­ence. The tour­na­ment par­tic­i­pants vied for an ASUS rog lap­top.
