ASUS, which has launched the Zenfone 4 Series in the local market last August 19, 2017, has given the tech and lifestyle media to have a first-hand experience of the phone by bringing them together to a trip to Iloilo.

Iloilo, being widely known as the City of Love, has been chosen by ASUS to check out on what it has to offer by taking photos of Iloilo’s significant places and having them posted on the participants’ personal social media accounts.

First stop was the Museo Iloilo which features Iloilo’s antique and culturally-rich artifacts like water jars (banga), paintings, and sculptures that mirror the history of Iloilo city. The media has then made it to the Jaro Cathedral to see and take photos of this 1800s-built cathedral where the roman catholic Archdiocese of Jaro is seated. Camina Balay nga Bato which means house by the river was built between 1860 to 1865 in a style called ‘arquitectura mestiza’, as the house mirrors indigenous building merged with Spanish, Dutch, American, and Japanese influences. The Molo Church and the historic Molo Mansion has also been picturesque using the Zenfone 4 Series. And to test the Zenfone 4 Series in taking photos at night, we went to the One and Two Esplanade of the Iloilo city -- a long recreational strip.

With the right settings using the Professional mode of any of the Zenfone 4 Series smartphone models, we were all able to take beautiful pictures of the places to see in the city of Iloilo. Surprisingly, as for me using the Zenfone 4 Series Selfie, even using the Automatic mode of the phone, I was able to get good photos as well.

We only have the idea of the itinerary that we are going to

help the Operation Smile Philippines in their Iloilo operations. We accommodated a total of 218 patients for the pre-screening of babies, young adults, and even adults born with cleft lip and cleft palate. Under the heat of the sun, nothing stopped us from helping accommodate each and every patient to finish their way of pre-screening to be eligible for operation in the upcoming week. We were all in awe hearing the stories of these children and people suffering with a face deformity. But we saw more than their aesthetics, what we saw were happy children, happy adults with a brighter future ahead of them. The free surgeries happened from monday until Friday for these patients.

A total of PHP 700,000 was given to Operation Smile Philippines as part of the partnership. ASUS also aims to get a total of 1,300,000 selfies and wefies, and the proceeds will go to Operation Smile Philippines.

It’s me taking a selfie with Patient 184 while in the play area waiting for her surgery. Take a selfie using a Zenfone and post it with #4thesmile hashtag. for every post with this hashtag, ASUS will donate PHP 1 to Operation Smile Philippines.
