Discover and Explore a Piece of Heaven at the Philippine­s’ Last Frontier

Coron. One of the most breathtaki­ng and picturesqu­e places in the Philippine­s. Situated in the province of Palawan, this paradise is defined by its powdery white sand, beautiful islands, lagoons, and clear waters that change color from blue to turquoise, to emerald depending on the time of day. Truly, a trip to Coron will make you forget every problem and worry in life.

Busuanga is a thirty-five-minute plane ride from Manila, a twenty-minute van ride to the port, and a twenty-fiveminute speed boat ride. In just less than one and a half hours, you will arrive in Club Paradise Resort, a private island owned and run by the Discovery Leisure Group. From a kilometer away, I’ve already realized how special this place is. I was in awe of how beautiful the water and the island are. The Club Paradise experience is true to the service that one would expect from an establishm­ent managed by the Discovery Leisure Group.

It was all first class service from the airport till you get to the resort. Courteous and helpful staff will greet you as soon as you get out of the airport until you reach the hotel. The hassle- and worry-free transfers would already make you feel that you are on a vacation. We were welcomed by a huge signage that says “Happy Summer” with smiling emojis, just like the iconic landmark of Hollywood, at the corner of the island. We were greeted by a choir accompanie­d by guitars, happily singing to us while we sipped on fresh welcome drinks and were handed cold towels.

Club Paradise was formerly owned by Germans who sold it to the Discovery Leisure Group six years ago. It is located in an untouched island surrounded by tropical nature at its finest. A very intimate island for a vacation where one can enjoy the freshness of the air and the beauty of the scenery. It is not my first time in Coron but it was my first time in Club Paradise. A place I’ve been dreaming to visit years ago. Now, it has finally become a reality.

Arriving there before lunchtime, the check-in was a breeze, with our room already prepared. I couldn’t wait to see our chambers, change to my trunks, and head to the restaurant to eat. We rode a golf cart to get to our Sunset Villa. The villas look rustic and charming. The interiors are
