A NEW WAY OF EATING

-

The latest Japanese food concept to open at in the Metro, Sen-Ryo's authentic sushi offering is one that is unforgettable to the palate. Fresh ingredients, combined with age-old techniques and modern technology ensures a culinary mastery and sushi artistry that is rarely found in these climes.

A well-known brand the world over, its latest iteration in the Philippines features fresh nigiri, sashimi, and kushiyaki, along with untouched ingredients flown in from Japan, created with the utmost care and passion of Japanese chefs.

Order the Wagyu Beef Salad, with its delectable wagyu beef striploin with a side of lettuce, apples, and cucumbers and enjoy the melting, mouthwatering texture in your mouth. Follow that up with a Salmon Miso Soup, made of grilled premium salmon belly.

The favored selection was the Botan Shrimp Nigiri, with its fresh, delicate taste with an almost sweet mouthfeel, perfectly paired with the Seared Salmon with Cheese, a salmon nigiri topped with cheddar cheese.

Fans of Japanese warrior history will enjoy the Shogun Roll, a roll shaped like a Shogun helmet and served with deep-fried lotus and fried shrimp. The traditional Assorted Sashimi comprising of fresh Norwegian Salmon and Hamachi Yellow Tail felt clean and light in the mouth.

Cooked offerings of Pumpkin Tempura, with its slices of sweet pumpkin in tempura batter, along with skewers made of grilled premium Hokkaido scallop, and premium salmon were a wonderful accompaniment to the final dish of Grilled Wagyu strips and vegetables served on a hot plate. White Peach Jelly, a dessert with Japanese peach compote served with vanilla ice cream was a refreshing palate cleanser.

The restaurant’s luxurious yet relaxed ambiance is showcased with simple materials like wood and metal used in contemporary ways. Inspired by the natural world, wood was carved into wave shapes to represent the flow of water. Each subtle detail of plates and cutlery, to décor and lights were chosen with a view in mind to change the space into one that spells out elegance and simplicity. Two private horigotatsu (a traditional Japanese table with a recessed floor beneath it) rooms and one a private room at the mezzanine ensures that guests will be able to enjoy an intimate dining experience.
