PERPETUAL EXCELLENCE
ROLEX has unveiled innovations in the aesthetics and technologies of its emblematic timepieces
Arevered name in horology, Rolex has kept its brilliance over decades of world-class ingenuity and class. Celebrated as symbols of elegance and prestige, every Rolex timepiece carries not just the company’s complete, in-house mastery of watchmaking expertise, but also the cultural impact the brand upholds in arts and culture, as well as sports and exploration.
This unrivaled reputation is a result of their long-standing promise for excellence, and their 2022 line-up is a testament to this unwavering commitment.
THE GLIMMER OF A NEW HORIZON
In 2022, Rolex introduces the new generation Oyster Perpetual Air-king. This watch pays tribute to aviation, features a completely redesigned case—with crown guard and straight sides—and a perfectly balanced dial design, which now adds a subtle line of light symbolizing new horizons opened up by the brand.
The skies are home to another companion in the Oyster Perpetual Gmt-master. Since 1955, this has been on the wrist of transatlantic pilots. Now, the Gmt-master II innovates with a repositioned winding crown and date aperture on the left side of the watch case, plus an exclusive green-black color combination on the Cerachrom bezel insert.
THE RESPLENDENCE OF A BOLD CHOICE
After years of research, the new Oyster Perpetual Day-date 40 in 950 platinum with an ice-blue dial gleams brightly, exemplifying one of the brand’s key ideals: mastery of material. Platinum is challenging to work with, and for the first time, the fluted bezel exists in 950 platinum, the most prestigious metal. The Daydate was the first calendar wristwatch to show the date and a fully spelled-out day on its dial.
The refined dial-making expertise of Rolex springs to life in the reimagined classic Oyster Perpetual Datejust 31. A tessellation of diamonds on the dial bursts with fresh energy, making the Datejust resplendent and sparkling under the light. The original dial design called the "floral motif" is available in nature's palette of azzurro blue, olive green, or silver.
THE GLOW OF A NEW BRILLIANCE
There is still room for firsts in the annals of Rolex as the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-master 42 gets a new yellow gold treatment. This 18 ct gold alloy is unique. Created and cast at the brand’s foundry in Geneva, Switzerland, it offers unparalleled resistance, and is fitted with an Oysterflex bracelet, making it an unbeatable ally on the open seas.
Capturing the breathtaking sights of glistening waters and a technicolor sky at dawn, the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-master 40 has a bezel set with pink sapphire, light-blue sapphire, diamond, purple sapphire and dark-blue sapphire gems. This precious palette of hues is accentuated by the 46 diamonds that adorn the lugs and crown guard.
