EDITOR'S NOTE

There's a rawness in honesty, and it's in this spirit that I share a behindthe-scenes perspective. Curating this November issue has been the most challenging endeavor in my 14-month tenure as editor-in-chief. The obstacles, though numerous and intricate, were not insurmountable, largely because of the resilience and dedication of my incredible team. Together, we proudly bring you Lifestyle Asia’s Power Issue.

Speaking of power–what better way to honor our theme than through the inspiring stories of Mariana Zobel de Ayala and Ginbee Go? These modern power women teach us that true power comes not from mere corporate titles and positions, but from the heartfelt intention of empowering others.

I owe much of this issue's success to my Lifestyle Asia family and the unwavering support of dear friends, Andrei and Cristina Corro, who graciously hosted Lifestyle Asia during our cover shoot in Manami Resort. Nestled in Sipalay, Negros Occidental is the enchanting sanctuary I've always held close to my heart. On my inaugural visit, I was captivated, silently vowing to spotlight its beauty on our cover someday. And the universe conspired; blessing us with the vibrant Small Laude as our muse–who in her own powerful way has left a positive online impact by harnessing the influence of social media. Collaborating on this shoot and feature with Philip, Small, and Ate Lotlot was sheer joy. Small, in particular, courageously indulged my difficult demands to bring to reality my vision for the cover story.
