PATIN-AY, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur – The provincial government of Agusan del Sur is expanding its Sustainable Agri-Forestry Development (USAD) in highland and remote village communities which want to increase their farm production and ultimately alleviate their living condition. Gov. Adolph Edward G. Plaza wants to expand the USAD in five barangays in every municipalities in the province’s 13 towns and lone city of Bayugan next year. USAD program is a strategy of the provincial government of Agusan del Sur to reduce poverty incidence in the province by 12.6 % in 2016. To sustain the pace of economic activities in the upland barangays, Plaza has started to mobilize the Office of the Provincial Agriculture (OPAG) for the expansion and massive implementation of USAD.
