Cotabato shootout

GENERAL SANTOS CITY – A wanted criminal and his two other cohorts, including his live-in partner, were killed in a shootout with policemen in Sto. Niño, South Cotabato last Thursday. South Cotabato police director Jose Briones identified the fatalities as Omar Ambalgan 26, his live-in partner Rhea Mae Jumarito, 19, and Noli Roce, 30. Briones said policemen led by Sto. Niño police chief Verlin Pampolina were about to serve an arrest warrant for Ambalgan for murder when he and his cohorts engaged the lawmen in a shootout. (Joseph Jubelag)
