Montilla vs Cacdac in X-Treme fight
Fil-American Alvin Cacdac battles Ernesto Montilla for the vacant flyweight title in the Pacific X-Treme Combat (PXC) 46 today at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Also fighting for the title in the event presented by Sports 5 are lightweight Glen Ranillo and Japanese Chuji Kato.
Montilla is coming off a sensational win by submission via armbar against fan favorite and ex-champion Ale Cali in PXC 43 held last March. Cacdac is no pushover and is on a roll, winning his last two fights, including a rear-naked choke and submission over Trevin Jones.
Pacific X-Treme Combat (PXC), the premier mixed martial arts promotions firm in the Asia-Pacific, is returning to the country after a long absence in the MMA scene.
The event, according PXC’s Rob San Diego, will be aired by Sports 5 starting at 11 p.m. Other sponsors are Red Horse, Healthway Medical, Remington Hotel, Resorts World, Bar 360, PLDT Telpad and PLDTmyDSL.
Also worth watching are Gina Intiong and Crisanto Pitpitunge.
Iniong, a 25-year- old criminology student at the University of Cordillera, meets American Cortney Casey in the atomweight class while Pitpitunge, a member of the Philippine National Police, tackles Thailand’s Rambaa Somdet in a flyweight contest.
San Diego said tickets are available at SM Tickets and TicketWorld, and doors open at 5 p.m. Action begins at 7:30 p.m.
