SM Megamall recently welcomed Hi- 5, the Australian children musical group. Everything was merry and bright during the event, which also coincided with the launch of the mall’s colorful centerpiec­e, the Rainbow Factory.

Hi-5, with its members: Ainsley Melham, Tanika Anderson, Dayen Zheng, Stevie Nicholson, and Mary Lascaris delighted the crowd with their catchy hits, hip dance moves, and colorful outfits.

Hi-5 was formed in 1998. Their television show of the same name, is aimed at children of all ages and features educationa­l songs and fun activities.

The group has since won five Aus- tralian Recording Industry Associatio­n Music Awards (ARIA) awards for “Best Children’s Album.”

The show has won three consecutiv­e Australian Logie Awards as “Most Outstandin­g Children’s Preschool Program” in 2000, 2001 and 2004.

Among those seen at the event were Mandaluyon­g City Councilor Charissa Abalos, actress Mylene Dizon and sons Tomas and Lucas; model Phoemela Baranda, Brazilian- Japanese model Hideo Muraoka with wife Fatima and daughter Daniela; and Lorin and Venice Gutierrez, daughters of Ruffa Gutierrez. They were welcomed by SM Prime Holdings, Inc. President Hans Sy, Senior Vice President for Operations Steven Tan, Senior Vice President for Marketing Jon Jon San Agustin, and Assistant Vice President Ian Mathay.
