Villar ramps up AllHome expansion with 6B investment
The Villar family’s retail arm All Value Holdings Corporation is ramping up the expansion of its AllHome furnishings and hardware depot nationwide, investing 5.5 billion to 6 billion to open 12 branches in the next two years.
In an interview, All Value Chairman Manuel B. Villar said they have been encouraged by the performance of the chain’s first six branches opened in the last two years and have decided to increase the pace by opening six branches per year.
“Sales in the first six branches are very encouraging so we decided to go full blast with our expansion starting this year,” he said noting that the real estate boom is fuelling demand for home depots.
Villar said these will be bigger stores with an average of 7,000 to 9,000 square meters at a cost of about 500 million each, consisting of 300 million in capital expenditure and 200 million for inventories.
The firm has just opened its seventh and biggest AllHome branch located in Daanghari, Vista City to cater to the residential areas of Las Piñas, Cavite, San Pedro and Muntinlupa.
The branch occupies almost 10,000 square meters of floor area with two floors dedicated to every home need. The ground floor houses the do- ityourself, construction and dining items while the second floor offers furniture and home décor.
In the next three to four months, Villar said they will open AllHome branches in Imus, Cavite; Sta. Rosa, Laguna; and in Las Piñas. After this will be a branch in Antipolo and a still undisclosed location.
Villar said they also intend to open six more branches next year, when they intend to expand to the regions, particularly in Visayas and Mindanao. Prior to this, most AllHome branches were opened in Mega Manila.
Other AllHome branches have been opened in Muntinlupa, San Jose del Monte, Shaw Boulevard, San Fernando in Pampanga, and in Talisay, Cebu.
AllHome stores are aimed at serving all the needs for construction materials of Vista Land contractors as well as the home furnishing requirements of home buyers. They aim to offer better prices as well as friendly terms to buyers and contractors.
"This ( AllHome) business is a perfect fit with Vista Land. This will address the cost and improve logistics for our home buyers and contractors, especially in the provinces,” Villar said.
