Bicol receives assistance from DA

Legazpi City, Albay – Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala handed checks and project grants amounting to 53 million to farmers, fisher folk, rural women’s organizations and local government units in Albay and Camarines Sur early this week. In the course of his visit, Alcala inspected the Albay Agri Ethno Eco Village in Cabangan, Camalig, Albay and met with local farmers, agriculturists and LGU officials. Albay governor Joey Salceda also joined him during the inauguration and turn– over of the Rice Processing Complex ( RPC) 2 operated by the Hibiga River Irrigation System Irrigators Association, Inc. ( HRSIA) in Brgy Balinad, Polangui, Albay. Alcala will also attended the inauguration of RPC 1 of San Agustin – San Ramon Farmers Cooperative ( SARFC) in Bula, Camarines Sur. ( Niño N. Luces)
