Cop killer surrenders
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY -- The policeman who killed his two superiors -- a chief of police and his deputy -- surrendered to town officials in Bukidnon last night. PO1 Gorospe Cairo lobbed two grenades inside a police station in Bukidnon Monday night, killing Senior Inspector Crisanto Molina, chief of police of Kabanglasan town, and his deputy commander, Inspector Dexter Garcia. A civilian aide, identified as Mariel Taduay, was also injured in the attack. Cairo was found positive in a random drug test last month and was disarmed a few days before the incident. Last Monday, while his two superiors were having dinner at the mess hall of the police station, Cairo hurled two hand grenades inside the kitchen. Bukidnon Provincial Police Office information officer Jiselle Ester Lou Longakit said Kayro surrendered to the local government officials of Lantapan, an adjacent town of Kabanglasan.
