Businessman robbed, killed

BUTUAN CITY – A businessman was robbed then killed by unidentified robbers at Purok 15, Barangay Poblacion, in Prosperidad town, Agusan del Sur province, police reported yesterday. In a press statement, Supt. Matin M. Gamba, regional spokesman of Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13), identified the victim as Efren C. Mabras, 38 of Purok 5, Barangay Poblacion of that same town. The victim sustained bullet wounds on his head and was declared dead on arrival at the D.O. Plaza Memorial Hospital in Patin-ay. Initial investigation conducted by the Prosperidad Municipal Police Station (MPS) showed that four armed unidentified men approached the victim while he was inside his store and immediately declared a holdup and divested the victim of a still undetermined amount of money.
