Comelec eliminates 39 party-list groups

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Friday delisted and canceled the registrati­on of 39 party-list organiza- tions.

In Resolution No. 9932, the poll body cited the failure of the groups to obtain at least two percent of the votes cast for the party-list system as well as its failure to obtain a seat in the second round of seat allocation for the partylist system in the last two preceding elections as reasons.

The party- list organizati­ons that are delisted and whose registrati­ons are cancelled are as follows:

(ABANTE KA), Blessed Federation of Farmers and Fishermen Internatio­nal Inc. (A BLESSED Party-list), Alliance of Bicolnon Party (ABP-Bicolnon), Action Brotherhoo­d for Active Dreamers, Inc.
