- By ANTHONY GIRON

CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, IMUS, Cavite — Cavite Vice Governor Ramon Jolo B. Revilla III is recovering well and may be seen back to work earlier than expected, his mother Second District ( Bacoor City) Representative Lani Mercado- Revilla said yesterday.

“My son’s recovery is going well and good and he may report for work even before his given 60day leave,” the upbeat Congress representative Revilla, mother of Jolo, told this reporter.

Rep. Revilla gave the interview after a breakfast meeting with Senior Superintendent Jonnel C. Estomo, in-charge of Cavite Police Provincial Office ( PPO), his staff and city and municipal chiefs of police (CoPs) of the province.

She was the guest of honor and speaker at the 8 a.m. Monday flagraising ceremony and the Women’s Celebration on PPO grounds, here.

Her presence at the camp came only a day after Jolo celebrated his 27th birthday simply at the family house at Ayala-Alabang in Muntinlupa City.

“It was indeed a simple gathering with birthday and well-wishers for ( Vice Gov.) Jolo with friends around,” Rep. Revilla said.

Among those who came were friends of the Revilla family, among them Cavite Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Revilla and the “bokal” (Sangguniang Panlalawigan or Provincial Board members).

Jolo is on 60 days leave, starting last February 28. It will end on April 29 but “he was advised by his father (Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla) to get on to work if he can earlier,” the congresswoman said.

Mrs. Revilla said her son Jolo plans to stay at the farm of former Senator Ramon Revilla B. Sr. in Silang, an upland municipality in Cavite, next week and go to the United States in April 15.

“So far, Jolo is recovering well and was very happy to meet fellowCavitenos and the others outside the province,” she said.
