‘Operation Listo’

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – To prevent human casualties and destruction of properties during typhoons and calamities, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) conducted yesterday a Provincial Convergence Action Planning dubbed as “Operation Listo.” Local government, police, and other government officials participated in the event. Operation Listo includes a checklist for early preparations which local and police officials make to prepare their emergency duties and appropriate actions, mobilize their men, create structures and systems, institutionalize policies and systems, and build human competencies. It also includes important steps such as making a time frame, convening of personnel, and issuing directives. (Mar T. Supnad)
