Man stabs sister over a bad joke

Little did a 45-year- old woman know that calling her younger brother “uncircumcised” would lead to her death. Case investigator Senior Police Officer 1 Charles Duran from Manila Police District Homicide Section disclosed in his report that the victim, Bernadeth Nakpil, was stabbed by her 44- year- old brother, Bienvenido, Thursday night in Manila.

Duran reported that the suspect was in front of their house in Del Rosario Street, Gagalangin, Tondo about 8 p.m. talking to some of their neighbors. Then, the victim went out and called the suspect, “Hoy supot!”

When the neighbors laughed, Bi- envenido felt humiliated and enraged. He rushed towards their kitchen, grabbed a knife, and went back to the gate where he stabbed his sister thrice.

Bernadeth was rushed by their neighbors to the nearest hospital but was declared dead on arrival. ( Rachel Joyce E. Burce)
