especially related to cancer treatment. Scandinavian knowledge in the treatment of cancer is of very high standard from an international point of view. Scandinavian Care’s main objective is to establish cancer centers in emerging markets operating according to Scandinavian standards.

Scandinavian Care works together with cooperating partners and strives to fine-tune our procedures to be able to perform projects with excellence.

When establishing cancer centers in Scandinavian Care’s target regions, there are two issues of highly importance – secure financing and to find radiotherapy trained medical staff. Therefore Scandinavian Care focuses on further developing good relations with different financial organizations – governmental as well as private. For the same reason we cooperate with Scandinavian medical universities and hospitals and their medical staff to further develop a Scandinavian Care Medical Team prepared to work abroad for a period of time when new centers are in the startup phase.

It is active in 8 established centers in 7 countries in Africa, Middle East, Europe and Latin-America and working in more than 20 countries.

In pursuing its business in Asia, the company said that good cancer care is available only for some people affected by cancer – 5 percent of all the world’s radiation therapy equipment has to serve 80 percent of the global population. Thus, there is a significant need to establish cancer and radiotherapy centers in emerging countries.

Scandinavian Care works with partners such as medical universities, equipment manufacturers, consultancy companies, e-learning and telemedicine companies etc., in order to set up a team to establish a cancer center.
