No Filipino casualty in Saudi blasts – DFA

-

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Saturday said there were no Filipino affected by the recent suicide bombings in a mosque in Dammam and Qatif in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

DFA spokesman Charles Jose assured that there was no report of any Filipino affected by the suicide bombings in Saudi Arabia.

“We have not received reports of any Filipino affected by bombings in Saudi Arabia,” Jose said.

Reports said that an attacker detonated a bomb in a car park of a Shia mosque in Dammam Friday, killing four people.

Last week, 21 people were killed in a suicide blast in a mosque in Qatif.

The Islamic State and Levant, also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), allegedly claimed responsibility for the bombing incidents.

Saudi Arabia, along with other countries like the United States, had launched airstrikes against the ISIS in Syria. (Madel Sabater-Namit)
