Disaster preparedness

ILIGAN CITY – Members of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) from 10 towns of Lanao del Norte attended recently the three-day Disaster Preparedness Dialogue and Wemboree at Macapagal Training Center. A workshop on disaster preparedness was conducted on the first day of training, which included action planning to align the municipal preparedness plan to the municipal convergence plan, and a one-on-one coaching of the municipal disaster management officer. A Wemboree (disaster resiliency camp) was also organized on the second and third day of the training with more than 50 youth from different municipalities of the province as attendees.
