OLX implements new changes

-

The leading buy and sell website in the country has introduced changes that will benefit the growing number of users.

The improved services allow the promotion of better quality ads, minimizing duplicate listings and providing a fairer selling environment for everyone.

Free Ad space All OLX sellers can post advertisements without charge. Each member is entitled to a set of free ads or “rent” space, which can accommodate 36 listings of buy and sell items, two real estate, two cars and nine car parts and accessories, two services, two jobs, and one business opportunity.

The number of free ad slots per category is however subject to change.

Sellers can use their free ad space anytime and they can post various items as long as they don’t exceed the category limit. Once an item is sold, it should be marked “sold” to make a space for more items to sell.

Minimal fee.

Those who sell their personal second hand items occasionally do not need to pay for more space. They won’t even notice any difference in their selling experience. But those who do buy and sell as business will be charged a minimal fee, depending on the category of the items.

The fee is a security feature that drives away sellers with malicious intents. Scammers and spammers will have to think twice about posting duplicate and false ads that mislead buyers.

The fee is also a way to encourage sellers to make the most of the free ad space and ensure the quality of their ads.

With the changes, OLX expects to provide more win-win arrangements to all users – protection from scams, easier and faster in finding items, assurance that the products sold are of good quality, and easier to find sellers, translating to better chances of selling.
