The busy streets from the Dapitan area all the way up to the heart of Mendiola comprise what we Metro-goers call the University Belt or U-Belt. The area is crowded with different colleges and universities—from University of Santo Tomas on España Blvd. to Centro Escolar University on Mendiola—so it’s only natural for establishments to go sprouting around like mushrooms in the hope of catching the interest of the average collegiate busy beaver. Places to eat, shop, dine, or spots that offer unique dining experiences are sure to provide not only a space conducive for learning but a haven for relaxation—to recover from all the school stress. We’ve rounded up a list of spots that are guaranteed to your sanctuary or your favorite chill spot.
