Mistreated OFW seeks return home

More than a year after she suffered physical abuse in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), a Filipina household service worker (HSW) said she is no longer interested in pursuing the case she filed against the employer, who mistreated her. MigranteMiddle East Regional Coordinator John Monterona revealed Pahima Palacasi expressed the sentiment after her initial case, which was filed by the Philippine embassy on he behalf against her Arab employer, was dismissed by the Saudi Court. The 23-year old former household service worker said she was also informed by the Philippine embassy that her employer, who is now on bail, has even decided to turn the tables on her by filing counter charges against her.
