Free hospital service to Cebu poor

-

CEBU CITY (PNA) – Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama said the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) will render free service to all poor city residents. ”They will not pay a single centavo,” he said, adding that the free hospital service to indigent residents started Saturday when the city broke ground for the new P1.6-billion CCMC building on N. Bacalso Avenue, this city. Rama said CCMC will be “the hospital for the marginalized and the underprivileged.” CCMC will continue to operate at the old City Traffic Operations Management office and the nearby Bureau of Fire Protection compound on N. Bacalso Ave. until the construction of the new hospital building is finished.
