Student missing from beach resort

MULANAY, Quezon — Police are still searching for a student of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP)-Mulanay branch who was reported missing over the weekend at a resort in Barangay Sta. Rosa, in this town.

Local authorities said Romnick R. Degrano, 19, a resident of Barangay Bagupaye, was last seen by his schoolmates during a picnic at the said area about 5 p.m. last Saturday.

Investigation showed that Degrano went swimming and was carried away by strong waves by Typhoon “Egay.” (Danny J. Estacio)
