More Filipinos in the province of Antique will be able to access with ease the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) with its 47th branch office in Antique province which will be opened Tuesday by top officials led by Chairman Erineo “Ayong” Maliksi.

While in Western Visayas, Maliksi and other PCSO officers will turn over 45 ambulances to various municipalities and hospitals in the provinces of Aklan (six units), Antique (eight units), Capiz (seven units), Guimaras (four units), and Iloilo (20 units).

PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II said the ambulance turnover is part of the agency’s Ambulance Donation Program (ADP) to benefit more Filipinos.

He added that the agency is opening new PCSO branches in other provinces to bring the agency’s medical and health programs and services nearer to the people.

“With branches in the provinces far from Metro Manila, those who seek assistance do not have to come to Manila to submit their requests,” he said.

The latest branch to be opened will be located San Jose Trade Town, Dalipe, San Jose del Buenavista, Antique.

On July 16, the PCSO leadership were in Cavite province, turning over 26 ambulances for five cities – Bacoor, Dasmarinas, Tagaytay, Imus, and Cavite City – and 13 municipalities and seven public hospitals and Cavite State University (CSU).

The PCSO provides free ambulances to 4th, 5th, and 6th class municipalities, while 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class municipalities are required to shoulder 40 percent of the cost of the unit.
