Employee found hanging in QC home

-

A 58-year-old woman was found hanging inside her house in Quezon City (QC) yesterday morning, police reported.

The fatality was identified as Nelda Vano, a resident of Detroit Street, Barangay Pinagkaisahan in Cubao.

A police report showed that the victim’s brother, Emelio, went downstairs about 7:30 a.m. and found his sister’s body hanging under the wooden beam of the stairway. A blanket was tied around her neck.

He brought his sister to the Delgado Hospital but was declared dead on arrival about 7:55 a.m. by attending physician Dr. Michael York.

Scene of the Crime Operatives reported that no external injuries were seen on the body except a ligature mark around her neck.

At the hospital, Emelio signed a waiver stating that he is no longer interested in conducting further investigation as he was convinced that his sister indeed committed suicide.

He told police that his sister works at the Philippine Racing Club Inc. (PRC) but didn’t provide any identification card. He also failed to provide investigators information on why his sister ended her own life. (Francis T. Wakefield)
