Do you know how rich Willie Revillame is? Well, let us count the ways...

There’s the huge rest house come hotel in Tagaytay, the fleet of high-end cars, a yacht, a mansion in an executive village, a collection of rare paintings and sculptures...

And he’s downsizing at that. Note that he once owned a private jet and a condo-type building near ABS-CBN.

The TV host is known to be a big spender, with some worrying he might be overdoing it.

Willie, however, is unperturbed, stressing how money is meant to be spent particularly if you earned it through years of toil.

“I just want to enjoy lahat ng pinagpaguran ko. Kasi kapag naaksidente ka, that’s it. Hindi mo naman madadala yan sa kabilang buhay,” he said during the grand anniversary of YES! Magazine held at the Crown Plaza Galleria Manila recently.

Willie, who started his career as drummer for the likes of Gary Valenciano and Randy Santiago, knows the difference between having almost next to nothing and being able to afford everything one could imagine.

The former actor recalled trying to earn a living as an OFW some 30 years ago.

“May isang beses, pinapunta kami sa isang room kasi ang tingin nila sa aming OFW, magnanakaw. Sabi ko kawawa naman ang mga Pilipino sa mundong ito, palagi nalang mababa ang tingin,”

he shared. It is as such that, until today, Willie has been busy investing in various businesses.

“Para na rin maka-inspire lalo na du’n sa mga taga-showbiz na sitenta na ay nagpupuyat pa rin sa taping. Nagmamadali palagi kasi dapat 12 tapos na kayo kasi may mga pamilya

pa kayo,” he

said.

Willie was featured on the cover of YES! Magazine’s June issue.

The last time he appeared on the cover of the magazine in January 2009, the issue sold like hot cakes prompting the publishing company to reprint the issue not once but twice.

The June issue also sold lots of copies, with people seemingly aching to catch up with Willie, who laid low for a while.

Come August, the magazine will run a feature on his house, his condo, and his villa, all in Tagaytay.

Willie enjoys such opportunities, noting,

“Sa magazine, du’n mo makikita ‘yung totoong personality ng tao. Hindi mo pwedeng bawasan kasi malalaman ng tao ‘yun.”
