Dengue rising

CALASIAO, Pangasinan — The Municipal Health Office here reported yesterday a significan­t increase in the number of suspected dengue fever cases here over the past few weeks. The report of the MHO revealed that the barangays with the most number of cases of dengue fever are Doyong, Longos, Nagsaing, Gabon and Talibaew, which were flooded during typhoons “Egay” and “Ineng.” A marked rise in the number of dengue cases were observed in the months of July and August, prompting the MHO to compel residents to eliminate breeding sites and immediatel­y seek medical attention in case of fever and rashes are experience by a family member.
