San Fernando gets DILG seal

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union — This lone city of La Union was chosen as the 2015 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), in recognition of its performance which directly benefit the residents in disaster preparedness, social protection, business-friendliness, competitiveness, peace and order and environmental management. Mayor Pablo C. Ortega personally received the notice of award last August 25. The recognition comes with a Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) worth P5-million to be used for projects as stated in the guidelines. (Erwin G. Beleo)
