Gensan aid

DAVAO CITY – Fisherfolk in General Santos City, particularly in the fishing area of Baluan, recently received tools and equipments from the local government unit (LGU) and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). Members of Baluan Fisherfolk Association received 20 sets of seaweeds farming implements and tools, with each set containing fishing ropes, seaweed seedlings, floaters, and non-motorized bancas or small fishing boats to increase their income opportunities. Mayor Ronnel Rivera, together with representatives from BFAR and City Agriculture Office (CAO), led the distribution of 240, 000 worth of implements and equipments and 20, 000 worth of seaweed seedlings.
