Jasmine Curtis-Smith was surprised that TV personality Brian Poe Lamanzares came to the recent press conference of her movie “My Fair Lady” to give her flowers, saying he wants to get to know her more.
Flattered as she was with the gesture, the 21-year-old actress maintained, “I really don’t think I can afford to put effort into someone else.”
She added, “Lalo na nga po with the schedule that I have, I’d rather put more effort into what I’m doing, how I am, para kayanin ko ’yung schedule ko.”
But what if love comes knocking
at her door? Jasmine said, “Hindi ko naman po
hinahanap (ang love).” “It’s just how it is right now I guess. If it’s there, then it’s there. Pero sa
ngayon it’s really something that I don’t want to pursue...”
The actress is still seemingly smarting from her recent breakup with actor-singer Sam Concepcion, relating, “Ayoko po kasing masyadong bigyan ng buhay ’yung mga topics na tungkol sa mga lalaki.”
Still, she went on to spill, “With respect for Sam and Brian na rin, Sam has his own thing going on and Brian, of course, he comes from a social background that is a bit sensitive, so I’d rather not punch on that.”
Jasmine doesn’t believe love should
be a person’s sole source of inspiration. “You find inspiration in everyone and everything... I guess ang pagkakaiba
lang naman kapag may boyfriend ka is that meron kang romantic angle in terms of inspiration,” she said.
The actress is in good terms with Sam. The two are, in fact, working together on the play, “No Filter 2.0.”
“I don’t see any apprehensions (between us) although hindi pa kami
nag-i-start ng rehearsals together,” she shared.
Jasmine is one of the stars in the upcoming horror-suspense “Resureksyon” directed by Alfonso “Borgy” Torre III. The film is a joint venture between Regal Entertainment and Reality Entertainment.
According to a release, the film boasts of state-of-the-art special effects and sound made even more exciting by the unique execution of thrilling scenes that are sure to send chills down audiences spine.
