2 suspected robbers slain in Cavite

-

IMUS, Cavite — Two tattooed men were found dead of gunshot wounds before dawn Saturday at a waiting shed in Barangay Malagasang I-D here, police reported Sunday.

Superintendent Redrico A. Maranan, Imus police chief, said the two unidentified cadavers were found slumped and bloodied at the shed by Barangay Chairman Basilio Tapawan and some residents after shots rang out in the area at 2 a.m. Saturday.

Maranan said no one could say who shot them but the two carried backpacks and had no identification cards or papers.

Maranan said he was looking at a report that the two men might have been “akyat-bahay” or robbers who stole from a house in the area.

One resident observed that the two were roaming in the area at unholy hours and this even coincided with a report that someone lost a bicycle and other belongings in the neighborhood the past nights, Maranan said.

Tapawan and some residents said that they went out of their houses to check after five gunshots rang out in the area earlier that night. But no one saw who shot them.

One of them wore a black Tribal sleeveless shirt and Dickies white cargo short and had tatoos of an Ace card with a skull tattoo on the right arm with the name “Edmar” in one hand and “Ashley” plus initials of “TBS” on the left arm.

The other wore a gray cap, white Tribal T-shirt and maroon shorts and had the word “Boljak” tattooed on his chest.

Police recovered one shell of a caliber .45 pistol at the waiting shed.

The bodies were brought to the Ernest Funeral Homes for autopsy to help police identify the two men. (Anthony Giron)
