PHILCONSTRUCT 2015 to showcase new innovations
The PHILCONSTRUCT 2015 trade exhibits – to run on October 8 to 11 – is expected to introduce new ideas and innovations to industry players that showcase how far the domestic construction sector has come.
The organizer, PHILCONSTRUCT Events, Exhibitions and Conferences Corp. (PEECC) together with the Association of Carriers & Equipment Lessors Inc. (ACEL), Philippine Constructors Association, Inc. (PCA) and Philippine Society of Ventilating, AirConditioning & Refrigerating Engineers (PSVARE) said there are new features for this year’s trade show.
“The industry is growing and we must grow along with it in order to provide the best service and exposure to our exhibitors,” said Dan Abando, overall chairman of PHILCONSTRUCT.
On its 26th year, PHILCONSTRUCT said it welcomes each exhibitor, visitor, and guest to a “concrete jungle of opportunities.”
“Expect to see over 1,500 exhibitors carrying top industry brands from different countries including Canada, China, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, United Kingdom, United Stated and more,” said Abando. Held alongside PHILCONSTRUCT is HVAC/R PHILIPPINES, presenting the most updated innovations in air and cooling technologies.
Of the new features for this year’s trade show, the TECHNOFORUM which is a series of seminars that serves as a knowledge-sharing platform for the industry players, is a must see. It opens a venue for both local and international speakers to discuss relevant matters and new information about the profession.
Another feature is Estilo de Vida, the longest-running interschool interior design competition that promotes creativity and helps build the future of young Filipino designers. Themed “Millennium Living: Futuristic Transient Living”, it will showcase innovatively unique designs out of a regular shipping container van come alive from the top three winners of this competition.
Aside from the series of seminars and competition, PHILCONSTRUCT also features Furniture, Furnishings & Homestyle – an exhibit showcasing the best of local interior designs.
“We are truly proud that this show has gone a long way,” said Delfin Wenceslao Jr., president of PEECC. “We have been holding this trade show for 26 years now and it has become a gateway for investors, both local and foreign, to tap business potentials in this booming region. This is one of the reasons why we continue to make PHILCONSTRUCT bigger each year.”
Considered one of the pillars of Philippine economy, the construction industry has made significant strides in the past halfdecade. It is currently worth over R1.2 trillion and it is expected to sustain its strong growth as construction activities is seen to reach about R1.7 trillion. With the ASEAN Economic Integration just around the corner, this year has become a perfect time to witness the construction sector grow bigger than ever.
Last year, PHILCONSTRUCT set a new record when it welcomed a total of 75,921 trade visitors in just four days. The show was held simultaneously in three massive venues – SMX Convention Center, the World Trade Center Metro Manila, and the Philippine Trade Training Center – making it the biggest PHILCONSTRUCT to date.
