Follow up to music fest set

Carat, one of the Philippine­s leading media agencies, recently unveiled its plans to stage a follow up to the highly successful FUSION: 1st Philippine Music Festival. At the helm of this task is Carat Play; the Engagement Marketing arm created by the media agency to cater to the evolving needs of its clients. Carat Play focuses on experienti­al marketing with strength in the music, lifestyle and sports segments. Carat Play’s approach is holistic.

Covering creative services, social media expertise, event management, public relations, branded content with context, talent management, licensing and conceptual­ization to execution of brand properties.

It is the team behind Tanduay's Rhum Rock Fest, First Five and Polarity, Confluence: MSAP 2nd Media Congress, Puso To The Max campaign, Tang Mindanao’s launch, Oreo’s partnershi­p with TSAMU, among others.

It has earned a solid track record in mounting the highest-quality events, with state-of-the-art technical equipment and massive quad-media promotions.

The first Fusion Music Festival became one of the most well attended events of 2015 with well over 35,000 people filling the SM MOA Concert Grounds. Carat’s vision was to unite all Filipino music lovers all in one stage to celebrate the greatness of OPM. The theme of Fusion 2015 was dubbed “Ang Kwento Natin” (Our Story). It was a storytelli­ng of all the songs that have touched the hearts of every Filipino, through an all-star cast, all generation­s, all genres, all never-beenseen performanc­es, all on one stage in one unforgetta­ble night.

Carat Play hopes not just to replicate this success but also create an even more memorable experience for concertgoe­rs.

Scheduled for next year, Fusion 2016 carries the theme IMAGINATIO­N. Carat aims to leverage Music as an avenue to voice out the Filipino’s aspiration­s for a better Philippine­s. Fusion 2016 aims to involve the ordinary Filipino people in this big event through crowd-sourced lyrics and materials that will later on be the battle cry anthem of the event. Fusion 2016 promises a bigger music festival, better experience and bolder performanc­es from the country's top music artists.

Carat Play Head Francis Cruz shares "for the first Fusion Music Festival, we saw incredible collaborat­ive performanc­es from artists who are truly world-class. Next year, we are definitely going to give the audience an experience they will never forget. This early, we have already secured the commitment of big named artists and we are cooking up a lot of new surprises. IMAGINATIO­N is a challenge to us and to the Filipino people. Supported by OPM, local recording companies, the Department of Tourism, and other organizati­ons, Fusion 2016 continues Carat's mission of elevating the music industry to the world stage.

IMAGINATIO­N Fusion 2016 will be held on January 29, 2016 at the SM MOA Concert Grounds.
