221 Bacolod cops deployed for APEC meetings

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occ. (PNA) – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) deployed 221 personnel to Iloilo City Tuesday to augment security for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings in Western Visayas’ regional center starting next week. Iloilo will host the APEC conferences on small and medium enterprise from Sept. 21 to 25, disaster management from Sept. 22 to 23, and food security from Sept. 28 to Oct. 6. The policemen will provide close-in security, traffic management, convoy, site security, anticriminality operation, investigation, communication, and crowd dispersal management. Starting Sept. 19, the BCPO and the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office will go on full alert status to help secure these events.
