Japanese firms donate water purifiers in Negros
BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occ. (PNA) – Two upland villages in Sagay City, Negros Occidental received technologically advanced water purifying systems donated by Japanese firm Inada Inc. in partnership with Japan International Cooperation Agency and Power Foundation. Recipients, Barangays Baviera and Colonia Divina, were provided with Aqua Cube Water Filter intended to produce safe drinking water for residents in times of emergency or disaster such as fire, typhoon, and earthquake. Baviera Chief Rodel Apelacio said residents from 625 households in his community have experienced gastrointestinal infections from consuming unsafe drinking water from deep wells or rainwater tanks.
