The beloved US chain restaurant opens this September in the Philippines
If you’ve been to the US, there’s no way you could have missed seeing Applebee’s. With over 2,000 branches in 49 states, there’s practically one in every corner. It has also established presence in two US territories and 16 other countries, including the Middle East, Indonesia, Canada, and in Latin America. It’s come a long way from opening its first branch in Georgia in 1980 and has shown how successful it is in living up to its reputation as the quintessential American bar and grill. And now, it’s bringing that awesome Uncle Sam dining and drinking experience to the Philippines.
“Based on our market research, the Philippines is a place where people want to see an Applebee’s,” says Connie Mann, International Openings and Training manager of DineEquity, Applebee’s mother company. “And we looked for the best partner (to bring the brand to the Philippines).”
