No courtship, they’re just ‘close’
Though Ejay Falcon has been constantly hanging out with fellow “Pasion de Amor” star Ellen Adarna, he clarifies rumors that he’s courting the actress.
“Ayokong gamitin ’yung term na ‘panliligaw’ kasi delikado masyado,” he said in a recent conference.
Asked to describe their current relationship, he said they are simply in the getting-to-knoweach-other stage.
The actor doesn’t deny, though, that he is attracted to Ellen but not because they’ve done intimate scenes on “Pasion de Amor.”
“Hindi naman dahil nadala ako or sa characters namin. Ako ’pag nagkagusto sa isang tao, labas na ’yung trabaho du’n. Gusto ko talaga ’yung personalidad niya, kung ano talaga siya,” said Ejay.
Among things they do together is buying stuff for Ellen’s new house.
“Sinamahan ko siyang bumili ng gamit. ’Yung kotse ko kasi, pick-up, so madaming pwedeng ilagay na gamit du’n,” he said.
Ellen, on her part, expressed her appreciation for Ejay’s efforts. She lauded the actor for being “kind, thoughtful and caring.” If there’s one thing she doesn’t like about Ejay, it is that he’s “pikon.”
“Mabilis siyang mapikon. Eh ako, mahilig mang-asar. Inaasar ko siya though it’s not my intention naman to hurt him. Tapos minsan nagtatampo siya sa mga pang-aasar ko,” Ellen related.
Ejay admitted he is a tad sensitive but he is trying to change if only for Ellen. “Nu’ng napasama ako sa kanya (Ellen), parang naaral ko na ’yung sarili ko para mawala ’yung pagka-seloso at ’yung pagiging sensitive. Kasi kailangan kong matuto, mag-adjust sa tao and feeling ko talaga, nawawala na ’yun,” said he.
Meanwhile, Ellen attested that Ejay is also “immature” when it comes to relationships.
Ejay doesn’t deny this.
“Alam ko na masyado pa akong bagito, na iilan pa lang ’yung naging girlfriends ko, at kulang ako sa experience para makuha ’yung maturity na hinihingi sa’kin ng kung sino man. Pero alam ko na kung matured ’yung babae, alam ko magmi-meet kami halfway,” he said. Lucky for him, Ellen is willing to do so. “Well, I try to understand where he is coming from, parang ganun,” she said.
Ellen stressed they’re still far from getting into a romantic relationship. “We are getting to know each other pa lang. Lumalabas kami pero ’yun lang,” she maintained.
“Everything is possible naman,” she added.
But not too soon, apparently, as, “Kakabreak ko lang sa exboyfriend ko mga two months ago.”
“Pasion De Amor” continues to conquer its timeslot in national TV ratings and remains to be the hottest series on Philippine primetime television today.

The story heats up further in the coming weeks as the show opens a new chapter in the lives of the Samonte brothers. “Pasion de Amor” airs weeknights on ABS-CBN just before “TV Patrol.”
Most recently, Ellen was reported to have abruptly left Ejay, her date, at Star Magic Ball last Saturday to join the company of Paulo Avelino and some friends. Later, Ejay would post on Instagram a message in her defense, saying people shouldn’t “judge” her for doing so and that it’s natural to “interact” with other people in parties.
