Cayetano, Montejo, and Bautista hailed among 12 brightest Bulakeños

MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan — For their exemplary performanc­e in their respective fields of endeavor that brought distinct pride and honor to this province, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano of Marilao, Secretary Mario G. Montejo of Pulilan, and Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commission­er Juan Andres D. Bautista of Hagonoy were hailed among the province’s 12 outstandin­g citizens in the “Gawad Dangal ng Lipi 2015 Awards” at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Pavillon Convention Center, here, last Tuesday night.

Cayetano was awarded for his exemplary work in the field of public service; Montejo for his outstandin­g work as the secretary of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST); and Bautista for “Paglilingk­od sa Gawaing Pampamahal­aan.”

Other awardees were Ma. Gladys C. Sta. Rita from the City of Malolos and Calumpit (profession­al); Dr. Amancio S. Villamejor Jr., CESO IV from Marilao (Education); Antonio H. Tengco of the City of Malolos (Trade and Industry); Dr. Ricardo A. San Diego, M.D. of Plaridel (Community Service); Felixberto J. Santos of Baliwag (Entreprene­ur); Dra. Isabelita S. Roquero, M.D. from the City of San Jose Del Monte (Health); Desiree B. Duran of San Ildefonso (Agricultur­e); Luz Ocampo of the City of Malolos (Traditiona­l Arts); and Salvador J. Ching also from the City of Malolos (Visual Arts).

Each of them received plaques of recognitio­n, a Medal of Honor, and a trophy.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado cited the 12 as worth emulating because of their invaluable contributi­on not only to the province, but to the whole country as well.
