Cayetano, Mon­tejo, and Bautista hailed among 12 bright­est Bu­lakeños

MALOLOS CITY, Bu­la­can — For their ex­em­plary per­for­mance in their re­spec­tive fields of en­deavor that brought dis­tinct pride and honor to this province, Sen­a­tor Alan Peter Cayetano of Marilao, Sec­re­tary Mario G. Mon­tejo of Pulilan, and Com­mis­sion on Elec­tions (Comelec) Com­mis­sioner Juan An­dres D. Bautista of Hagonoy were hailed among the province’s 12 out­stand­ing cit­i­zens in the “Gawad Dan­gal ng Lipi 2015 Awards” at the Hiyas ng Bu­la­can Pav­il­lon Con­ven­tion Cen­ter, here, last Tues­day night.

Cayetano was awarded for his ex­em­plary work in the field of public ser­vice; Mon­tejo for his out­stand­ing work as the sec­re­tary of the Depart­ment of Science and Tech­nol­ogy (DOST); and Bautista for “Paglil­ingkod sa Gawaing Pam­pama­ha­laan.”

Other awardees were Ma. Gla­dys C. Sta. Rita from the City of Malolos and Calumpit (pro­fes­sional); Dr. Aman­cio S. Vil­lame­jor Jr., CESO IV from Marilao (Ed­u­ca­tion); An­to­nio H. Tengco of the City of Malolos (Trade and In­dus­try); Dr. Ri­cardo A. San Diego, M.D. of Plar­idel (Com­mu­nity Ser­vice); Felixberto J. San­tos of Bali­wag (En­tre­pre­neur); Dra. Is­abelita S. Ro­quero, M.D. from the City of San Jose Del Monte (Health); De­siree B. Du­ran of San Ilde­fonso (Agri­cul­ture); Luz Ocampo of the City of Malolos (Tra­di­tional Arts); and Salvador J. Ching also from the City of Malolos (Vis­ual Arts).

Each of them re­ceived plaques of recog­ni­tion, a Medal of Honor, and a tro­phy.

Gov. Wil­helmino M. Sy-Al­varado cited the 12 as worth em­u­lat­ing be­cause of their in­valu­able con­tri­bu­tion not only to the province, but to the whole coun­try as well.
