33 agriculture groups for Poe

URDANETA CITY, Pangasinan — Thirty-three agriculture organizations here, consisting of farmers’ and irrigators’ associations, expressed yesterday strong support for the presidential bid of Senator Grace Poe, saying she is the best bet to boost the country’s agricultural sector in the next six years.

“We are expressing our strong support to the presidential candidacy of Sen. Grace Poe in 2016 elections. We are confident that Grace Poe will give priority to the concerns of the agriculture sector and the interest of Filipino farmers as she has consistently shown since she was elected senator,” said Rosendo So, president of the Samahang Industriya ng Agrikultura (Sinag) and Chairman of Abono Partylist

So is optimistic that a Poe administration will institute policies versus smuggling of agricultural products and implement policies that will develop the country's agri sector, something that the current administration has failed to fully address. (Liezle Basa Iñigo)
