PAL in­creases Syd­ney-Manila flights


Philip­pine Air­lines (PAL) is boost­ing its ser­vices be­tween Syd­ney and Manila and will con­duct daily flights in­stead of the cur­rent five weekly flights on this route start­ing next month, Oc­to­ber 25, 2015.

“A daily fre­quency with a choice of de­par­ture and ar­rival times pro­vides our pas­sen­gers the flex­i­bil­ity to seam­lessly con­nect to many cities on our do­mes­tic and in­ter­na­tional net­work,” ex­plained PAL Pres­i­dent & Chief Op­er­at­ing Of­fi­cer Jaime J. Bautista.

“Upon ar­rival in Manila, Aus­tralian busi­ness and leisure trav­el­ers can en­joy a Manila stopover for sev­eral days or make a same-day con­nec­tion on PAL flights to the many travel spots within the Philip­pine ar­chi­pel­ago,” he added.

From Oc­to­ber 25, flights de­part Manila at 10:05 p.m. via PR 211 ev­ery Tues­day, Thurs­day, Fri­day and Satur­day, ar­riv­ing Syd­ney at 9:30 a.m. (AUS time) the fol­low­ing day.

PR 213 de­parts Manila at 11 a.m. ev­ery Mon­day, Wed­nes­day and Sun­day, ar­riv­ing Syd­ney at 10:25 p.m. (AUS time).

Flights from Syd­ney de­part at 6:10 a.m. (AUS time) ev­ery Mon­day, Tues­day and Thurs­day via PR 214 ar­riv­ing in Manila at 11:25 a.m.

Dur­ing the rest of the week - Wed­nes­day, Fri­day, Satur­day and Sun­day - flights from Syd­ney de­part at 11:15 a.m. (AUS time) via PR 212, ar­riv­ing in Manila at 4:30 p.m.

In the mean­time, the flag car­rier will be cel­e­brat­ing the 50th an­niver­sary of its Syd­ney oper­a­tions on Oc­to­ber 6, 2015.

PAL’s Manila – based and Aus­trali­abased of­fi­cials will lead a set of an­niver­sary ac­tiv­i­ties to celebrate one of PAL’s long­est – run­ning oper­a­tions which be­gan on Oc­to­ber 6, 1965.

Aside from Syd­ney, PAL’s pres­ence in Aus­tralia cov­ers Dar­win, Bris­bane and Mel­bourne. Flights to Cairns and Auck­land, which will be launched in De­cem­ber this year, marks the ex­pan­sion of PAL flights in the Ocea­nia re­gion.
