Fair PH weekend weather expected

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) yesterday reported that most parts of Luzon including Metro Manila will have sunny weather and partly cloudy skies with possible afternoon or evening rains due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA forecaster Chris Perez said the Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light to moderate rains passing by due to the effects of the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) until tomorrow.

The ITCZ are thick clouds coming from the south of Asia which is known to be the breeding ground of the low pressure area (LPA) or potential tropical cyclones.

Perez said that the tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has a slim chance of entering the Philippine archipelago but PAGASA continues to monitor its movement.

In the event it enters the country, the tropical cyclone will be known as “Jenny’’ which is the 10th to hit the country this year and the first this month.
