Cops still clueless over massacre of 3 in Sarangani
ALABEL, Sarangani – The police are facing a blank wall on the motive behind the massacre of a couple and their companion Tuesday night.
Mayor Corazon Grafilo has ordered police authorities to bring to justice the perpetrators responsible for the killing of Ricky Jasmin, his live-in partner April May Banusing and Atenidoro Jasmin, who were gunned by four unidentified suspects inside their house in Barangay Poblacion here.
Chief Inspector Arnold Montesa, Alabel police chief, said the suspects arrived at the scene onboard two motorcycles, barged into the house of the victims then opened fire on the victims using .45-caliber automatic pistols.
Police recovered four empty shells, slug and magazine for .45 caliber pistol from the scene.
Alabel Vice Mayor Vic Paul Salarda has asked for the deployment of additional policemen around the town proper to avoid any such incidents from happening after the Tuesday massacre caused tension among local residents.
Brgy. Poblacion Chairman Herculano Lacaba said that, prior to the incident, Jasmin had confided to him that he had received threats on his life but he did not elaborate.
