UST faces FEU in duel for 3rd

The losing semifinalists of the Shakey’s V-League and Spikers’ Turf begin their best-of-three clash for third place today at The Arena in San Juan.

University of Santo Tomas (UST) and Far Eastern University (FEU) open their V-League series in the first game at 12:45 p.m. before National College of Business and Arts and NCAA champion Emilio Aguinaldo College clash in their own duel in the Spikers’ Turf at 3 p.m.

The four teams are aiming to claim the consolation prize of their own leagues after losing to their respective rivals.

UST pushed Ateneo to the limit in the V-League semis before losing in three games while FEU was swept aside by National University in the other pairing.

NCBA and EAC, on the other hand, were easily dispatched by Ateneo and NU, respectively, in the Spikers’ Turf semis.

Bannered by EJ Laure, Pam Lastimosa, Carmela Tunay and Jessey De Leon, UST is looking to use its nearupset over Ateneo as motivation when it faces an FEU side bannered by guest player Jovelyn Gonzaga
